MSW300 – Switch/Lift Magnet

$139.00 INC GST

The magnetic lifter attaches to a lifting tool via the D shackle on the top of the device, and the magnetic force of the magnets can be used to lift heavy objects. The magnetism of the lifter is activated or deactivated using the handle, which collapses the magnetic field or constitutes it as needed.

Practical Information

1.  Contact Surface: When there is any air gap between the lifter and the object that is to be lifted, the magnetic flux is obstructed, thereby reducing the magnetic pulling force. Gaps are caused by various objects (oils, paints, oxidation or a rough surface).

2.  Thickness: The magnetic flux of the magnetic lifter requires a minimum thickness of ferrous material during application. When the material which is to be lifted doesn’t have a minimum thickness, the magnetic attraction strength will decreases considerably.

3.  Material: As we know steels that are low in carbon are good magnetic conductors, however, those with a high percentage of carbon or alloy combined with another material, reduce the magnetic attraction properties.

Note: Capacities listed are based on lifting rigid, flat metal which has a clean and smooth surface. If used on dirty, thin, oily or curved surfaces,
