Description
Neodymium magnets ( Rare Earth magnets ) are the most powerful permanent magnets in the world. They are also referred to as NdFeB magnets.
Neodymium magnets are graded by the ingredients they are produced from ( rare earth elements ), by the manufacture. There is a international rating number system in use.
( the rating number following the ‘N‘), for example N35 or N42 are typical grades…..the higher the number …generally the stronger the magnet.
The highest and most expensive grade of neodymium magnet available is N52.
Block Dimensions: 52.5mm (Length) x 9mm (Width) x 4mm (Height) The dimensions of this magnet are measured in metric units, with an approximate “tolerance” (manufacturing margin of error) of +/- 0.05mm.
Block Direction of Magnetism: “Magnetised through Height” Through the 4mm Height (see image below).
Block Coating: Neodymium magnets are a composition of mostly Neodymium, Iron and Boron. If exposed to the elements, the iron in the magnet will rust. To protect the magnet from corrosion our magnets are triple plated with layers of nickel, copper, and nickel ( NiCuNi ) which is what gives them that characteristic smooth silver appearance.
